Questions of self-doubt cross my mind every day. Yes, I know what you are thinking. You, Alana? But you look so flawless in your Facebook picture, I would have NEVER imagined that you are a normal human being. Well, the truth is that picture is edited (thank you Instagram) and most women struggle with confidence issues everyday.
At Swoob, we care about women fulfilling their potential and developing confidence. We know the struggles are real and we experience them. However, we also know success and confidence is possible for each of us!
To help you have the best resources and role models for living a healthy and fulfilling life, we are spotlighting 8 amazing #Swoobfit girls who are making their dreams happen. These girls are trailblazers, fitness enthusiasts, and they are not afraid to live their best lives.
Just like our #Swoobfit girls, we want you to live with confidence! Here are three ways you can build lasting confidence in your life.
1- Fill your life with positivity
When you fill your life with positive and confident thinking, you will attract positive results!
“You get back what you put out, so you might as well think positively, focus on visualizing what you want instead of getting distracted by what you don’t want, and send the universe your good intentions so it can send them right back.”
The doubts in life will always be around to squirt toothpaste on your favorite shirt right before you leave for work. But that doesn’t change the fact that you are smart, talented, and hard-working. Recognize the positive qualities you have and remember that you have the power to overcome anything with your positive thinking.
2- Recognize the power within you.
Confidence is a healthy sense of self-assurance that you can do difficult things. I’m sure Taylor Swift still gets nervous in front of huge crowds – but she does it anyways. Believing in yourself and in your strengths is necessary to fulfilling your potential.
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?”
I’ve always loved this quote by women’s rights advocate Marianne Williamson. It is up to you to see the good in yourself and to know what you are capable of! That awareness and understanding of who you are becomes your power.
3- Make it happen!
You have to go out and grab your success. Don’t wait any longer to live the life that you have been dreaming of.
“If you choose not to act, you have little chance of success. When you choose to act, you’re able to succeed more frequently than you think.” -Katty Kay, the co-author of The Confidence Code.
This is your life. These are your dreams. Go make them happen.
